Sedge Warbler Nest (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus )

Collected in 1913 in North wales by naturalist and artist George Ellison (1862 - 1941). Ellison was from Liverpool, he visited Orkney frequently between 1884 and 1930 spending summer months in Stromness.  He was a past curator of the museum and donated much of his collection along with natural history drawings to the Orkney Natural History Society (Stromness Museum)
