Stromness Museum and Orkney Renewable Energy Forum (OREF) present: “Powered by People” private exhibition viewing followed by talk on Subsea Micropiles Scapa Flow Project 2025
Our current exhibition “Powered by People” is on the subject of the energy industry in the county, featuring an excellent timeline and stories of some of those involved in the energy industry. On Tuesday 5th August 2025 there will be a private viewing of the exhibition at 7.00pm before a short walk to the Islands Centre for Net Zero (ICNZ) Hub for a talk by Mark Williamson, Chief Operating Officer of Subsea Micropiles, on the work they have been doing on Hoy and the opportunity the technology offers for simplified marine moorings.
This event is free to Museum Friends and OREF Members, and £5.00 for non-members. Please contact office@oref.co.uk to book a space.
The talk at 8.00pm will be available online via Zoom. Remote login details are available at: Events for July 2025 – Orkney Renewable Energy Forum (OREF).
